TSO58 Grouser Shoe Installation

In this short how-to guide, we are going to explore how to put grousers on the tracks of your brand new RS1000. I am going to show you an easy way to get the machine off the ground without doing much work.

(Note: The information is provided by a Struck customer. Please follow all official Struck manuals when installing your equipment.) 

Start by bringing all the supplies, such as the grousers and all the bolts, which you will need for this installation and place them close to your tractor as indicated below.

Next, place blocks at the front and back of the tractor so that you can elevate it as shown in the image below.

Once the tractor is elevated, take the first grouser and line it up with the three holes where it is going to be bolted as shown below.

Put a bolt through the front side of the grouser and catch another on the back side. The task will take a little time but it isn’t a difficult project. Start from the lower side of the tracks as shown below.

When you have finished bolting the grousers on the lower section of the tracks, climb into the tractor and “drive it” so that the finished section of the tracks moves out of the way so you can work on another section of the tracks as indicated in the image below.

Don’t have any fears that the tractor will move from its position. Since you elevated it before starting, the tracks will move but the tractor will remain in one place.

When you look closely at the image above, you will notice that the section of the tracks with the installed grousers is now on the upper part and the lower section is now accessible for you to add grousers there. Continue the installation until all the grousers are in place just like the image below shows.

Each grouser that you installed should be properly lined up and bolted in place so that your finished work looks identical to what is in this image below.
